Daily Inspiration from Proverbs 4 P.35 – All God

Proverbs 4: King James Bible

All God – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter four, Verses 11-12

11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

Daily Inspiration from These Verses

We see the Father becoming intimate with us earlier on by calling us son, sons, and children. I the verses above, he fills us in as to exactly who has taught us what we need to know.

The Lord is saying, “Hey, I have taught you. I am the one who has lead you in the way.” And why shouldn’t we always give the Lord credit for all things that we learn and understand? How often I wonder, do we take credit, or even give credit to someone else, for anything we learn or know?

You may learn something from this website, but it’s the Lord who’ll teach it to you. And all the more, if something here, or maybe by listening to a Preacher, your understanding has increased, it’s not because of us at all.

It’s by the grace of God that anything I type or a Preacher preaches. It’s all God! It’s by his Spirit that has moved us to convey wisdom, understanding, insight, or anything else for that matter. Whether it be from someone’s fingertips on a computer, or someone’s voice behind a pulpit, ALL things come from the Father, and it’s HE who deserves any credit and praise for anything that we learn or share.

It’s the Father who guides us by his Holy Spirit, and leads in the right paths. I’ve run into people that say things along the lines of,”I only listen to the Lord, why should I read anything you do or listen to anyone else?”

That reasoning sounds extremely Biblical, with the exception that the Lord is still using people to reach and teach people, just as he did in the days of the Apostles. Not to give any new or strange doctrine, but rather to give us further insight into how we apply the Word of God into our lives.

The point is, it’s all from the Lord God. It’s he who leads us into reading something or listening to someone that will increase us in some way, be it faith, wisdom, understanding, etc.. And the litmus test is whether or not whatever the thing is being taught is aligned correctly with the Word of God.

When it is aligned with the Word, and you’ve increased by the info somehow, then it’s the Lord who is to be praised, not the man. It’s HE who is leading you in the path that he’s created specifically for you.

Never be a respecter of persons, but rather a respecter of the Father.

Prayer – All God

Please forgive us when we take credit for anything that has come from you, been delivered by you, and has been given us by you. In all things Lord, cause for us to be all the more grateful for you and for all the things that you do to intervene in our lives. We thank you for all that you do both great and small, as you so carefully provide guidance, and sure steps for us to take as we traverse down the path you’ve placed us in. In the name of Jesus, the risen King of Kings we pray.

Have you ever taken credit for something, that when you reflected upon it afterward, came to the realization that it was all God?
