Proverbs 13: King James Bible
By His Word – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter thirteen, Verses 13-14
13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded. 14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
Daily Inspiration from These Verses – By His Word
To despise the Word of God, is also to despise Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. By checking out these two verses, then reading the scripture below, this becomes clear.
But there are several sects out there who claim to adhere to Christianity, and yet deny the Word of God. I say sects, but could just as easily say cults. Every time you get a group of people that claim to be Christians, then veer away from the Word of God, even deny that the Bible IS the Word of God, you’ll find that new and budding offshoots of doctrine emerge.
This never ends well. Right off the bat I think of David Koresh, Jim Jones, and the eastern “Christian” lookalike cult called Eastern Wind. There are so many others. The biggest abomination that is underway these days seem to be a thing called Chrislam. Blending Christianity with a religion that claims Allah has no begotten son.
Things like Chrislam can only exist, if the Word of God is minimized to a book of good values, or simply a book of life lessons. Instead of acknowledging it for what it truly is, the written Word of the Lord God, the volume of which is written of the only begotten Son of God!
Looking at these perversions, it’s easy to see how the twisting and despising of the Word will certainly lead to destruction. Personally, I believe that once you’re saved, you’re saved. Jesus did a complete work on the cross, and the Father gives the Spirit without repent. In other words, once you have him, you won’t change his mind.
However, should you go the way of the world afterwards, then you’ll suffer for it, making your life miserable without the blessings of the Lord. So, people who are saved and wind up clung on to a sect that leads them to deny the Word, yes, in one way or the other, they shall be destroyed. But their salvation is still sure after death.
However, those who have not been saved, yet join these cults that deny the Word of God, chances are there won’t be anyone leading anyone to be saved by the one whom they’ve marginalized, or have created false doctrines about. So their end, should they meet it without being saved, will perish in this world, and also the next.
The most tragic thing in my mind, are people who honestly believe that they will go to heaven, because they’re doing well following false doctrine. The Lord in his mercy and grace, has preserved his very Word for us to use against false doctrines and fables. It is truly a sword, that will tear apart any false doctrine, because it shines a light on things hidden in darkness, exposing lies and the cunning of our enemy.
It’s our responsibility to learn it, know it, and do what the Lord says. It is a fountain of life, and I certainly don’t envy those who attempt to corrupt it.

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Revelation 21: King James Bible
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Thank you again for your Word. You know of all the false doctrine that has been created by Satan as well as the imagination of man. You know how well they are crafted against your Word, intending to lead astray whoever may come across it. You are well aware of the war that is against your Word, and the power therein. Rise up Father, and expose any cult that associates itself with your name, and open the eyes of any who may be deceived by any of the wiles of the evil one. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray.
