Call to Prayer and Supplication for the Saints

isaiah-5919-call-to-prayer-and-supplication-for-the-saintsThis is a Call to Prayer and Supplication for the Saints. I don’t know if anyone out there has noticed, but spiritual wickedness in high places are still creating spiritual wickedness. And that said spiritual wickedness is having an effect across this nation and also across the world. This isn’t really a typical post that I would put up on this site, but the Lord is moving me to do this.

I’m certain that we all pray for ourselves and for our families, circumstances, health, financial well-being, travel mercies, healing, favor, etc.. And there’s nothing wrong with that, in fact there’s sound spiritual reasons for doing so as often as possible. If you don’t pray all that often, the Word would tell you that to pray not too often is to pray way too little.

1 Thessalonians 5

7 Pray without ceasing.

There’s three words that say much more than it looks. And I would strongly suggest that we take it seriously. The spiritual condition that this world is in, we can’t afford not to pray about all areas of our lives in any way. If the Lord didn’t think it to be important, he wouldn’t have placed it into his Word.

Luke 18:

18 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

So the Lord makes it clear. But there comes a time, and I think now is, where we need to step above and beyond ourselves and our immediate family’s needs and concerns, when it comes down to our prayer lives. Not necessarily put aside prayers for our concerns, but add time to it, to include supplications for the saints.

If every one of us decided to take some time throughout our busy day, and just lifted up ALL the Saints in prayer, what kind of a difference do you think it would make? Think on it this way, If you were praying for the spiritual, physical, and financial, well-being for all the Saints across the face of this earth, and also for their families (immediate and extended), would you not think it would make a difference? Okay, say you’ve got faith enough to have answered yes to that. Now, what if there were thousands added in agreement to that supplication, praying all those things in a similar manner for all the Saints and their families, and thousands eventually added to theirs, so on and so forth… Would you and all of your family not be included in their prayers?

If we believe that the Lord hears our prayers, why wouldn’t he hear the prayers of the Saints being lifted up on your pray-one-for-another-call-to-prayer-and-supplication-for-the-saintsbehalf, and yours for them? As a Body, if we took the time to pray for all of the Saints daily, I would be willing to bet that we’d wind up with our own prayers answered much more quickly, as they would already be primed with prayers by Saints from all over the place.

Perhaps that’s one of the reasons a major theme in the Word of God is to love others as yourselves, and to go the extra mile when asked to go for one, pray one for another, giving all prayer and supplication for the Saints, and all of the other lessons that we can find in the Word about tending to others. Not everyone can exercise charity in a traditional sense, so why not use your time charitably toward all of the Saints by standing in the gap and lifting the entire Body of Christ in supplication to the Father? Five minutes a day would be that much better than none, and ten even better than five!

Accumulative Pleas before God

Once upon a time I was foreman of a shop where time was nearly everything, as it was a quick-turn shop. When something happened (usually something kinda bad) it was inevitable to have four or five guys standing around looking at it. In that kind of circumstance, there was a trick that I learned to get people back on track. That would be to vocally count out how many people were standing there, then multiply that times how many minutes they were wasting standing there. It was always effective to get them motivated to carry on with what they were suppose to be doing when taking totals like that, because sometimes people don’t see the bigger picture. But when given the revelation of how much time collectively they wasted, they’ve then been informed that there may be trouble coming if they don’t get moving. One guy standing around for five minutes wastes five minutes of company time. Five guys standing around for five minutes wastes twenty five minutes of company time.

That was just an example of how things can accumulate. Taking that example and flipping it around, how much more important is time praying for the behalf of the Saints around the world? When it comes to prayers for the Saints, my guess is that they accumulate in the throne room of God, being answered according to his will. And don’t you think that he would take notice of you trusting him to take care of all of your needs enough to care for the needs of his Body? Please see what Jesus is trying to get across to people with the parable in Luke 18 up above.

Prompted by the Lord

Brother or Sister in Christ… I would like for you to know, that no matter who you are, where you are, and no matter your circumstances, I’m praying for you. And you who have unsaved family members, either immediate or extended, I’m praying for them too. And there’s no way that I’m alone in that! I am confident that the Lord is fashioning a standard to be raised against the current rising tide of wickedness, and I believe that if we band together as a Body and lift our supplications to the Lord for the Body of Christ, that he will indeed respond and take notice.

So here is the likeness of a prayer that the Lord has placed upon me to pray concerning these things for the past couple of weeks in particular. I would like to invite you to pray along with me in this, and continue every chance you get to pray it again and again. Not verbatim or anything like that, but adding to it what the Lord places on you to add, making it your own. Maybe he would rather you concentrate on different parts, who knows?

Hello Father,

You sit above all and nothing escapes your sight, truly, there is none like you. In times past, you’ve made sure to let us know to pray for each other, so in obedience to your Word and for the sake of the Saints, I lift up this prayer to you.

You have seen the trouble and persecution going on across the face of this earth, and see all of the wicked schemes of your enemies. You know what their plans are and you know that they move about both seen and unseen, waging war against the Saints. Now we understand that there will be a time before your coming that the Evil One will prevail against those who are yours. But until that day comes, rise a standard Lord in the face of all the plans of the wickedness that continues to attempt to beat down the Body of Christ all over the world.

In the name of Jesus, we unleash and loosen angels of God, mighty angels of war to beat back and defeat all of the dark forces that are encamped about your children, and may there be a display of power done in such a way that all people who are taking part in persecuting your children fall on their face and cry out to you for salvation. Also may there be angels sent to minister to all those in need of ministering, especially in those places where there are so few of the Saints left.

May all who you foreknow to become yours be quickened to do so, and may they be protected against the Evil one and all who side with him. Bring safety to all those who need safety, and lift up the downtrodden. Strengthen all of them in you and in faith, and become more real to them than the world is. As you certainly are more real than the world.

Cause for there to be unity in mind in all of the Saints, bringing all of your children into the full knowledge of Christ Jesus your Son, without whom they would still be strangers. Lift up all of your Saints across the face of the earth Lord, so that being in the world but not of the world, we don’t have to be like the world in order to move through it. Lift up your Body above all of the problems and stressors that are attacking the mind and hearts of your Saints. Allow only what you need for instruction or whatever you will, but Father, let Satan not have his day with any of your Saints concerning the cares and worries of this world. Please give to those who need, and if you refrain due to lack of wisdom of different Saints, then please give them the wisdom to handle what you’re withholding, that they don’t use things against you to their own hurt.

All the Saints have family somewhere that are not yours Lord, and need to be. Would the Shepherd abandon the offspring of the sheep? Please have mercy on those who are called by your name, and rake their families into the Body of Christ through the blood of the Lamb, and work on each and every one of the hearts of all those family members who are not yet saved, and bring them into the fold. All family members Lord, both those who are related directly, and those who are related distantly or however related. Lord you said that it’s not your will that any should perish. So cause for all of them to be wherever they need to be in their lives to not perish, but to call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.

Father, please lift up your Body and heal every place that needs healing, restore all that which may have been lost, remove every need as fulfilled, and incline your ear to each of their prayers. I plead the blood of your Son Jesus upon the entire Body of Christ, and let doctrine be filtered through it before reaching any of our senses, so none will be deceived into believing a lie.

Concerning all of the Saints, place a hedge of protection about all of them, their belongings, their finances, properties and otherwise all that belongs to them, which you have given. All these things I pray, lifting up all the saints to you Lord in the name of Jesus, whom I serve and whose I am. Thank you Father for all that you’ve done, all you’re doing, and all that you’re going to do to fulfill your perfect plan in the lives of your Saints.

Amen

Conclusion

call-to-prayer-and-supplication-for-the-saints-call-to-prayer-and-supplication-for-the-saintsIf you prayed that prayer or would pray one like it for all the Saints whenever possible; as if the well-being of each and every one of us depended on it, It causes me to wonder. How massive of an outpouring of God Almighty would we see around this place if we all did the same. If every one of the Saints kept every one of the Saints in prayer, how much more would every prayer of the Saints be answered? And perhaps how much faster? As I said above, the Lord placed it in his Word to pray for each other, and I don’t believe that he did it for nothing.

Thank you for reading this and if you joined me in the prayer above, thank you even more for your prayer! 1. Thank you Brian for this prayer. I have been drawn to pray for the persucuted church for so many years, plus the lost in general. I see a lack of knowledge in my own Church family about the suffering Church & so I tell them about it & our need to support our brothers sisters & also their persecutors. I am 83 & the mother of Ann Hinz who recently shared a dream with you, that you commented on. She is a great blessing to me &her late father & our only child. He washed us & her children with the water of the word. I miss him & the washing. God bless you & your ministry.

    • Hi there Janet,
It’s my pleasure, and to be honest, it’s my belief that this was the Holy Ghost. I say that because I have heard from so many people about this prayer. People saying many things in the same vein that you’re talking about.

I truly believe that this is something akin to a movement of the Lord, to lift up, energize, educate, and wash, the Body of Christ as a whole. We are truly living in the last days, and the Lord wants his people to be empowered and cleansed. A Bride without wrinkle or spot, fit for the ceremony to come!!! What a day that will be, and what exciting times we’re living in right now!!

Concerning the lack of knowledge in the Church… It sounds like you are playing a great part of standing in the gap for our persecuted Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, and it appears to me that you are making an impact, bringing it to the attention of those around you in your church. They won’t learn these things by way of every day main stream media. They’ve proven that they don’t care. So the more noise we make about it, and the more we pray prayers such as the one on this page, and such as those you’ve been praying, I believe the more the Father is going to peel the layers off of the eyes of all the Church. The true Body of Christ.
Thank you for your comment, and your service to the Father! May the Lord bless you mightily in the name of Jesus!

  2. AMEN!!! Wow Brian, great prayer, I think you covered it all! 🙂 You are one of His saints! Truly, HE is with you and your work, all the good fruit on this site is like HIS orchard!!! And, about persistence…that is absolutely true! I know from a truly ‘hopeless looking’ situation/ experience that to be true. I had some very serious spiritual things happen in my life through a loved one that was extremely lost & living exactly opposite of His Word…I persistently prayed ‘non-stop’ about the situation thinking on Luke 18, the same thing kind of going on, there was no fear of God & no regard for others. He answered in many ‘small’ ways that were not heeded. Kind of like first the parent asks nicely, then the parent gets stern, then maybe puts in time out ,and so on. Well, after 2 yrs of persistence… *BAM* He answered alright, more than I ever would have imagined, in such a powerful direct way, I am still blown away and that was a few yrs ago. He still is… I am/will be forever full of thanks and praise for His Mighty Being! Ephesians 3:20 is always before me alive! I have to keep this before me and Luke 18, its in our faces everyday, everywhere, not to mention those close to us… these days things are so insane, crazy and evil is having such a time. That prayer is perfect for these things/times. Such a battle, great and terrible, we need all HIS weapons. The whole Armour ALL the time. Thanks so much for the fellowship, wisdom in His Word and just for being such a good brother IN CHRIST and HIS CAUSE!!!
Gods Blessings upon you, your loved ones and your work In Jesus’ Holy Name, always!

    • Hi there Joan,
Wow, all this time and I missed this comment somehow!! I typically try my best to respond in a timely fashion, but it looks like I blew it this time. Ah well…

Thank you so much for your kind words, encouragement, blessings, your comment, testimony and prayers Joan! It is always appreciated and I am humbled at heart by many of the things that you have said. And I’m always happy to hear when someone can notice the fruit of the Lord’s labor that he initiates through our prayers! May the Lord bless you and keep blessing and building up your loved one in faith and in Christ Jesus more and more day by day in Jesus mighty name!!
      Brian

  3. Thank you for this and I do pray for the saints and the land of Israel with the peace of Jerusalem and most of all that His Will prevail and His Kingdom come soon. In the name of Yeshua, Amen.

    • Hi there Victoria,
Thank you and I’m in agreement with you in Jesus mighty name! Good to see you in here! May his Kingdom come and his will be done for us and all of our families near and abroad in Jesus name.
Thanks again and God bless you!
      Brian

  4. Lord Jesus,
As we come to pray for everyone of thy children, we are lifting them up into your hand for your will to be done in their lives. We pray your blood cover their families, and friends so no harm befall them, we pray for enlighten eyes to see and ears to hear thy voice as you show them Truth. I pray for covering in these days of darkness so nothing will deceive them in any way, form, or false truths that may be spoken over them. I pray for angels to be release to help them stay upon a solid foundation in you Lord Jesus. I pray for our children to be kept safe from the predator of greed, porn, and drugs that has crept into so many families. I pray for deliverance for those seeking to know you. I pray that your hand bless your children in mighty ways, as I release this pray upon them, I pray for your hand to be upon all thy saints so the enemy cannot come and take their sight from you. Let us I pray Lord, walk in thy Spiritual guidance, thy power and anointed with thy Holy Spirit as we draw closer to you. I ask Lord for favor upon us that we may be pleasing and found doing thy will in our lives.
In your Holy name Lord Jesus, I pray Amen.

    • Amen and Amen Beverly! May the Spirit of the Lord shake his Saints free of false doctrines as sand shaken from a beach towel. And as the Lord originally intended, may we all be of one mind, the mind of Christ, and may we all have on Christ Jesus. So where we go in your service Lord, and whatever we do in your service, that we are only alive in you, and dead to the world. Without you we can do nothing. Please rise up in your body and break every chain that has been holding it down from rising above this world and all of it’s pitfalls, in Jesus precious and mighty name. Amen!

Thank you for that prayer Beverly, I appreciate it and praise God for all that he’s setting up to do with his children!! Glory to the Lord Most High! God bless you and all that you set your hand to do in his service in Jesus mighty name!
      Brian

  5. I remember some years back I was troubled by all the evil and crime that was happening just south of the border of us. Namely Mexico. It was at about the time that evil just seemed to surge there in that country. I was so troubled by it I decided to think through a prayer and made a conscience choice of words and pleads to God Almighty to put an end to all the evil that was happening there at that particular time. So your idea here certainly touches a chord with me and I am in total agreement that we should pray for this country and others around the world for the evil just seems to get worse and worse. At times I say out loud, “Lord come get us, we don’t belong here”. And someday He will come get us. In the mean time we should pray. I am in agreement with you wholeheartedly. Lets storm the gates of heaven. Onward Christian soldiers, lets stand together and pray to God Almighty that he lifts a standard against all this evil that just seems like the floodgates have been opened. I make a pledge to God Almighty that I will pray your prayer, it’s pretty darn good. I will pray it until I come up with one of my own and one thing , or one group of people that are always especially on my mind are the children of this world. When I say my prayers and pray for my grandchildren I always try to remember all the little children around the world. They are the most helpless in this world. They are so dependent on those adults around them. The are the most vulnerable and helpless of all. I thank you for this prayer and for your attention to prayer for the condition of the United Sates right now and other countries around the world. Father God I pray lots of Christians will join in prayer and that in response Father you lift up a standard against all this evil that is running a muck right now in our country. In the Name above all Names….Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    • Hi Martha,
Amen, in agreement, and praise the Lord. Since posting this just the other day, I have heard from a few Brothers and Sisters in the Lord that the Holy Ghost had placed a similar burden on their heart concerning supplications for the saints across the world. And I’m thankful to know that there are many out there whose heart has been pricked concerning this matter which (I believe) has not been a typical focus for the majority of the Church. But the more we start tending to the needs of others prayerfully, others tend to ours, without us having to necessarily ask or know about it. I believe that is what the Lord had in mind for us, as I went into a little bit in the post.

I am excited to hear from people like yourself that have been active in lifting up supplication to the saints, and thank you for your kind words about the prayer itself. I would like to point out, that the prayer typed out above doesn’t have to be verbatim at all, but is what the Holy Spirit placed on my heart to type at the time. It covers allot of ground, and may be good for some to use as a template, if they’re not sure about what to pray concerning all of the saints around the world. I truly believe though, that many strongholds across this planet will be decimated if more and more of us prayed similarly to this prayer.
Thank you for your comment and all of your kind words! God bless you mightily and may he lift you up and into the perfect will of his call for you in Jesus name!
      Brian
