Consequences of Adultery – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter six, Verses 32-33
32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. 33 A wound and dishonor shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Consequences of Adultery
Should folks be well equipped with wisdom & understanding (that which comes from the Father), they’d be less likely to fall into the trap of adultery. Isn’t this safe to say after reading verse 32?
Elsewhere in the book of Proverbs, we’re told that perverseness in speech is a breach in the spirit. If we can breach our spirit with the things that we say, think about the deep implications that physical perversions can manage to do to the spirit.
We’re told here that it destroys the soul and reaches out into the physical by way of dishonor, wounds, and reproach. Strong language from the Father here. I believe that he says these things for a good reason.
There are things that he’s prepared for us in advance. We’re the ones who allows sin to enter in and mess it all up fr ourselves. Committing adultery is an amazing method to derail the Father’s intentions for the long haul of your life.
Because of that, it is a tool used by Satan to lead us down a different path. In fact, when you think about it, most of the things that the Father means to keep us clean from, are all entry points for demonic manifestation.
When we allow things such as lusts, or sinful acts such as adultery, it is carrying out demonic desires, and leaving a door wide open for attack from unseen forces. If it were not so, then why else do you think sexual perversions are carried out ritualistically?
Why else do you think there is such an attack on the family and things such as virtue and purity? It’s bad enough now, that you don’t need to look very far to see first hand, that the Lord’s word above is true. We all know someone who has been destroyed in one way or the other through adulterous means.
Let God be true and all men a liar, and seek the Father’s wisdom and understanding to avoid these pitfalls and avoid becoming train wrecks.

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

You know every weak point that all of us harbor. We ask that you fill these points with your strength. Grant us your wisdom and understanding, so that we may be wise in all of our relationships, and coming and goings. In the mighty name of Christ Jesus the Lord we pray.
