Have you ever received direct Counsel of the Lord? Some of us do, some of us don’t. Some who do, hear him more often than others do. There’s a slew of sound Biblical reasoning for this, but also reasons known only to the Father.

The following testimony of hearing from the Lord, has been submitted by Janet Goodwin. Counsel of the Lord During a Trying Experience

In 2009 my husband passed onto our Lord Jesus. In 2010 I was selling our house to move closer to our daughter, our only child.

The person who was buying the house had it inspected, which I was not concerned about. There were a few minor electrical problems & one quite important one that would be quite expensive.

Apparently the house had been wired with aluminum wiring. It would cost me $3 to $5,000 to have it rewired. I did not have that amount. I went into prayer for help.

“What should I do Lord?” My husband had added extra power, back in the 60’s. The wiring had been inspected by the city electrician before & after the work done & was pronounced a good job & passed inspection.

My realtor told me the inspector was not an electrician & with my permission he would hire one who knew his business. I told him to go ahead.

The LORD told me. “My daughter, do not look to the right, do not look to the left. Focus straight at me. I am your husband. I will take care of this. This in my hands. Stand in faith.”

It was a long 24 hours of prayer, a word from The LORD & demons hovering, telling me I hadn’t heard from God, & I just made up what I wanted to hear.

The electrician found that the house was wired with copper & not aluminum, but that the end of the copper wire is covered with a substance that resembles aluminum.

Much thanksgiving was expressed to our God. I think of this often to remember to keep my focus on God & His WORD.

I have witnessed about this often in Christian groups, with silence when I stop speaking. I truly believe the hearers are true believers, but they have not experienced hearing God speak to them.

Conclusion

It’s difficult to witness that you’ve heard from the Lord over a matter. Well, I guess it’s easier if you’re expecting most people not to believe you.

The reason being, is that the power of God has been removed from the Church, by the Church, and religion has jumped in the place of the pushed out power of the Lord. Not every church mind you, but I’m stroking with a broad brush here.

There’s no room for the Lord to be active among religion, because religion is man’s rules and regulations; being works based instead of faith based, and trusting in the religious traditions more than trusting in the Word of the Lord.

Never mind the reaction that you’d receive from unbelievers. I guess that goes without saying. However, you never know who you may run into, that might just need to hear from the Lord, where a testimony like this may just spark the desire, to introduce themselves to the Lord for the first time.
