Holy Ghost Power – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter eight, Verse 14

14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Holy Ghost Power

This is one out of a few verses in this chapter, that cause for me to believe that this is the Holy Ghost talking. The statements being made here are extremely powerful.

I am, I have, it’s mine, are all definitive statements, which the Holy Ghost is laying down for us to absorb. There’s no other that can provide these things as he can, nor is there any other entity outside of the Godhead, that can make that claim truthfully.

The Spirit of the Living God IS wisdom, and IS understanding. This should tell us, that the blessings and traits of the Lord, through his love and through his Holy Ghost, have been providing these things to the world at large for thousands of years.

The tragedy of it all, is that the majority of the world hasn’t got a clue. And that the one who they rail against, is responsible for them having the wherewithal to tie their own shoes.

I’d guess and say, that the Lord is the most underappreciated being that has ever existed. We are all so used to things being a certain way. I believe that if the Lord were to move his hand away, even slightly, the difference in all of existence would be dramatic.

While many are either doing all that they can to disprove the very existence of their own creator, or are raging against him in one way or the other, these very same folks enjoy a variety of gifts that have been provided directly by the Lord.

When we have a verse where the Lord tells us that he has strength, this doesn’t mean that he’s the strongest (though he is). That’s thinking too small. He has strength, enough to hold everything that is, ever has been, or ever will be, together.

Without his strength, all of this “something” would fall right back into nothing. I think that the train of thought, which is that the Lord set everything up, then backed off, is not just false, but impossible.

The Lord, through his Spirit, is constantly involved with everything going on. We should never take for granted, the strength of the Holy Ghost, which goes beyond anything that we’d know how to measure, and the Father’s involvement in the happenings across the face of this planet.

Thank you for being all that you are, and doing all that you do. Even all of the little things, that make life even possible, that we take for granted every day. If ever we’ve overlooked a point of your intervention, please forgive us for not noticing your handiwork. We honor you Lord, and thank you for holding us all together. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray.
