Different Gospels III – Dissecting a Cult

the-art-of-deception-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cultDifferent Gospels III – Dissecting a Cult can be tricky at times, because the art of deception has turned into an art form. If you do not have a firm grip on the Word of God, then you’re in danger of falling into a Satanic trap. Just like any trap, they’re useless without being well hidden or disguised.

2 Corinthians 2:

11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Deception with a Warm Smile

In this post, I’d like to share a video with you that is produced by “The Church of Almighty God.” Their paraphernalia can be viewed by anyone at the website called Holyspiritspeaks.org. Please note the Christianeese being used in the “Ministry’s” name and site name. They even will let us know that they believe that the Bible is absolutely true, and won’t change.

Well, they’re right as far as that’s concerned, and that’s why they need to change what people think is between the covers of the Word of God. This post is my reaction to one of several conversations that I’ve had with members of this group that seems to be gaining traction in Asia, and across the internet.

Pay Close Attentionpay-close-attention-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cult

Please beware the danger of lightly listening to what they’re saying in this video. There’s no curse

attached or anything like that. Now that I think about it, the ones that need to worry about that would be the people promoting this as gospel. But the danger rests inside the subtly of what is being said here. As scripture says…

2 Corinthians 11:

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Also, this video has been dubbed over, thus making it a bit less authentic sounding than it would in the original format. Underneath this video, will be my breakdown of the many ways that this simple and warm video is gently leading people to believe a lie that, in the end, will either shock you, or cause for you to lift up your head, because your redeemer draws nigh! In the breakdown section, I will refer to the time-stamp of the video that I’m making reference.

Breaking Down a Cult’s Deception

  • First 30 seconds, a threat for not believing what they’re about to teach.
  • 1:56 there is no such thing as a second incarnation. That’s a lie of eastern mysticism mixing into Christianity.
  • 2:36 They added lies saying that scripture said something that it doesn’t. He added, “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.” He said that as an amendment to what we can find in Matthew 24:

as-the-lightning-cometh-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cult27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. The next immediate verse is  28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

He’s already done the suffering 2,000 years ago, but to further their cause and to justify their particular belief, they need to bring the Lord back to earth, before he returns to rule and reign.

  • 2:45 They are butchering what is meant behind the Son of Man. They don’t realize the difference between the Son of man and a son of man. Again, he’s called the Son of man because he was born into this world through Mary 2,000 years ago, and is every bit a man today as he was then. Same body, just glorified.

He left his flesh once, while still up on the cross. He returned to that same exact body and split! The tomb was empty three days from his death, because he hopped back in and took off! He did not need a new body of flesh to return at all.

  • 3:30 “He will become flesh again?”Just to reiterate,  he will come back as he is right now, (which would be glorified) as he awaits beside the Father. There’s no re-jumping into someone’s body, and he’s not going to be birthed from another woman, and go through all the motions of becoming as we are yet again!

In fact, those of us who are sealed with the seal of the Holy Spirit of promise, will become as HE is. They are trying to say that HE will become as WE are.

1 John 3:

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

good-is-evil-and-evil-is-good-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cultSatan loves to take scripture and reverse it. And that’s what is going on here.  I’d also go so far as saying that they are describing the Anti-Christ, as he is the one that will become as we are. A scriptural role reversal. God has something to say about that:

Isaiah 5:

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

  • 3:32 “In the last days, he would become flesh again.” The Bible says that nowhere, and if you have one that does, throw it out and get a KJV! This would be a lie from Satan himself, promoting the ill advised belief of re-incarnation.
  • 3:48 Jesus is not coming back to be persecuted. That’s a done deal, and he is the once and for all sacrificial lamb. He has already entered into heaven as the Lamb who was slain, and is returning as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!

Hebrews 10:

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

  • 4:50 “The judgement work of the Lord is to make over-comers.” They are talking about Jesus being re-incarnated during these end times, to do “judgement work” against the House of God. They are taking scripture here, and making it an end time judgement, instead of an all time principal.

1 Peter 4:

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Peter wrote that “the time IS COME,” not the time WILL or SHALL come. That time began in Peter’s day, it’s not penned in for the end times scenario. It’s a staple of Biblical reality for all who came before us and those of us who are called by his name today. A classic example of taking a piece of scripture and changing it’s context.

I’m done at five minutes!

twisting-scripture-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cultEven as I write this, I can’t take it anymore. The twisting of scripture is just painful to hear, as its being taken seriously. Last thing I heard before shutting it off was, “And he shall judge among the nations and rebuke many people. Saying with a loud voice, ‘fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgement is come.”

For me, that took the cake!!! I couldn’t take it anymore. Now that I’ve heard it, I feel a responsibility why it’s so wrong…. /head in hands….

Revelation 2:

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 12:

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

In the Revelation 2:26-29, this is Jesus talking about AFTER the Judgement. He is talking about his millennial reign. This isn’t a pre-Daniel’s 70th week period, but post. It has nothing to do with the end times, but is the plan given for the new times. But this group would place it as meaning right now, because after he loosely made reference to these scriptures, he constructed another verse to come after these (as far as a time frame goes). Here’s that other scripture.

Revelation 14:

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

This piece of scripture is making reference to a period of time that falls inside Daniel’s 70th week! So to make sense of what they are doing here, they are trying to say that Jesus will be reigning on the earth before this particular end time event. Seems that we’ve taken this road before, remember the Isaiah 5:20 reference up above?

Messing around with the Word of God is a perilous game to play. It will not end well at all for anyone who propagates a different gospel than what’s found in the Bible. And this is true with a clear warning when it comes to fooling around with the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 22:

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Here’s a video from the Josh Peck YouTube Channel concerning this group.

Conclusionlift-up-your-head-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cult

Remember when I said that this video would either shock you or cause for you to lift up your head, because your redemption draweth nigh? Well, if you’re shocked, it shouldn’t be because these kinds of deceptions are out there. We’ve been promised that they’d be around, and shouldn’t be surprised by it.

Shocked

What should shock you is the stealth and calmness they display as they butcher the Word of God, yet giving a form of knowing what they’re talking about. How many Christians I wonder (since we are their target audience), that haven’t taken the time to gain a working knowledge of the Word of God, have fallen for this group?

It’s reasons like this, twisting the word of God, that I encourage everyone to get into the Word of God for themselves, even if I’ve quoted directly from scripture! You’ll catch me saying that peppered all over this website, and also through any books I’ve published. Let God be true and all men a liar.

Lift up your Head!

The reason I said that maybe you’ll lift up your head, is because this group believes that Jesus is on earth right now a a new incarnation today as we speak! They believe that Jesus is back, on the earth, dealing “New” revelation, and residing in China. Here’s the happy part!

Matthew 24:

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

As we watch all the world events unfold; signs in the moon, in the stars, in the sun, with the weather, politically, spiritually, everywhere, and now false Jesus’ popping up everywhere, I like to think of this to remedy the frustrations of it all…

Luke 21:

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cult-different-gospels-iii--dissecting-a-cultYes indeed! I believe that we are living in the days where all of the end times events are unfolding right before our eyes! These are exciting times indeed! Even so, it is all the more important to get to know exactly what the Lord has preserved in his Word, so that we’re not caught being deceived for lack of knowledge. I think we all know that verse…

  1. Oh Brian! I’m absolutely scandalised and very grieved at the way so many alleged Christians are teaching Gods Word. ‘Cult’ is, to my mind, a very polite way of saying either the leaders of these ‘religions’ are quite crazy and certifiably so (demonic driven) or they’re “in the game of ministry” for self gain & no other reason. Perhaps both.

I was raised an Anglican by a Christian mother and a Jewish father. Only a month or so ago I made contact with what was supposedly a forward thinking Anglican Ministry in the heart of the City of Sydney, Australia.
This ministry holds their Services in one of the oldest, & most beautiful Anglican Churches. Their website made me think I may well have found a place to worship. Everything looked kosher.
And then something-no points in guessing who that something was!- led me to ask them 1 simple question.
“Do you believe in the Holy Trinity”? One could have heard a feather drop in the silence that followed. After much to-ing and fro-ing I got my answer.

“No” was the reply which was quickly followed by the reasoning as to why the Trinity does not exist! I admit I was shocked, so shocked that I must have switched off my ears for I heard no words really, only a diatribe which was openly hostile toward me. I didn’t find that odd, all things considered – but then I’ve read your eye-opening, ‘in-your-face!’ book, Kingdom of Darkness….”. Twice.

So there we are. An Anglican Church inhabited by who knows what-and I’ve no intention of attending to find out.
Now, to clarify & this be fair to the Anglican Church, perhaps the Sydney Diocese has sold this particular Anglican Church.
But the fact remains that who or what is inhabiting this Consecrated House of our Lords is claiming to be of the Christian Denomination of the Anglican Church.

I had a similar incident happen to me only today. I asked the question “Do you believe in the Holy Trinity”. Nothing. Not a murmur. 20 minutes passed I received a text message. This is that message-:
“Yes. We meet in group we dont meet through online. If u are worried too much about this group being a cult then u dont need to come. Thanks for ur interest”.

What do you think of that?!!
All I can say is this. End Days are very near, almost upon us & quite possibly already upon us. Earth is Satans playground and he knows he’s running out of time.

    I’m sticking with S.T.I.C.!
Without any doubts whatsoever you are one of Gods chosen, to lead us in Truth and into a closer relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

    • Hi Jann,
Thank you for the encouragement and kind words at the end of your comment! I’m honored and humbled by them, and praise God for all that he’s doing.

But on the other hand, concerning the rest of your comment, it’s a shame. With that second group, a simple yes would’ve worked, don’t you think? Their response seems to have a hint of “back off if interested in what we believe.” One may question why that may be. In this day and age, if you’re not cautious (as it seems you’ve been), then you’re foolish. We need to be modern day Bereans, to keep from being deceived by the winds of doctrine.
      Acts 17:
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

And that first church you mentioned, all I can say about that is… Well at least they’re honest about it! Well, okay, eventually honest lol. Not sure what else to say. It’s difficult to try to determine whether or not it’s due to deception or on purpose when it comes to spreading a false set of beliefs, but on both counts, it’s evidence of a lack of knowledge into the Word of God. Lack of knowing what it says to avoid being deceived, and lack of knowledge to avoid taking part in willingly deceiving someone or a congregation.

Praise the Lord for giving us that blessed measuring stick that we call the Holy Bible, the Word of God!!
Thank you again for your comment Jann! May the Lord bless you and lift you above and beyond all that is against you in Jesus mighty name!
      Brian

  2. Thank you for exposing these various cults. There are many who do not rightly divide the Word of Truth, and some are just blind to the wiles of the devil. You continue to inform and encourage. The Spirit of the LORD rests upon you dear brother. God bless you and may He continue to fill you with His inexhaustible Truth. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

    • Hi Shamel,
Amen on that, I agree. In this case, they’ve not only wrongly divided the Word of Truth, they’ve spliced different things together.Thank you for your encouragement and kind words! I appreciate it!
May the Lord bless you always and deeply in Jesus mighty name!
      Brian

  3. Actually sir u are 100% incorrect. Maybe about this church u are right but about Christ coming to the earth again as a man is what the bible says. In the book of Daniel bible was spiritually sealed in Revelation the Second Coming of Christ is the Root of David the Lion of the tribe of Judah unseals the scrolls (bible) also bible says he will come on a cloud cloud = flesh. In the age of the Father he had a name of Jehovah in the age of the Son Jesus Christ, in the age of The Holy who comes to the earth as man has a name as well. Jesus even says he will come again to fulfill the laws of God n remind is what we have forgotten. For so long.

    • Hi Gina,
I think that you either didn’t read the entirety of the post, or maybe you might have misunderstood what I wrote. Not only do I believe that Jesus is coming back as a man, but as the same man. He is not going to be re-birthed into a new mother, which is what this cult is trying to teach.
The tomb is empty, and someone who’s risen from the grave glorified, has no need of a new human body. He came back in that body, less blood, and hung around with his disciples and hundreds of others, before heading up to the clouds, into Heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. Nowhere does the Bible say that he shed out of that body, but was taken up with it (inside it).

Concerning the rest of your comment, who is teaching you that a cloud equals flesh, and where are you getting these epoch markers? You say this as if there’s no such thing as the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. But instead sounds like you’re saying that the Only begotten Son of God is not the “only” begotten Son of God. Who told you that he is coming back to remind us what we’ve forgotten? He has already restored what we have lost, which is a direct link between us and the Father, by his Spirit, only achieved through Jesus.

I could be wrong, but I have a strong feeling that you’ve picked up on some extra biblical doctrine somewhere when it comes down to the relationship between the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.
      John 1:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three yet they’re one. Though they’re one, each has a different role. Jesus himself is scattered all over the Old Testament, Jehova is a polished way of saying YHVH, it’s not the name of a pre-incarnation of Christ. Jesus was in the beginning with God, he sat to eat with Abraham, he was there at Jericho, he wrestled Jacob and named him Israel, on and on and on.

Any place where you can read that in the Bible where someone saw the face of God and lived, they’re dealing with Jesus. Even Moses needed to be protected by the hand of the Father while he passed by, only revealing his hind quarters. That’s the funny thing about eternity, it is outside of time altogether, so once you’ve entered eternity you can go anywhere yo want. Eternity isn’t a place that has allot of time, eternity has nothing to do with time at all. It’s a completely different thing. Time was created along with creation.
      Isaiah 57:
15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Jesus has ever had only one body of flesh, blood, and bone. He was a living sacrifice, once for all. Not once for awhile. After he was resurrected, his body became glorified. Being glorified, his body is now flesh and bone. I’ve quoted the scripture up in the post. The body that he came back to visit the apostles in, is the very same body that he’s coming back in, and he’ll be coming in the clouds, just as he was taken up into the clouds.Except this time, he’ll be coming back to make war, riding a white horse, and his name will be Faithful and True!!

      Revelation 19:11-14
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And in case anyone would think that this figure called Faithful and True is anyone other than Jesus, remember:
      Revelation 3:
      14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

So I hope I made my position clear here, if not, please let me know and I’ll produce more scripture and even do up a new post concerning this issue. God bless you in Jesus name.
      Brian

  4. Yes, we know they are here and Jesus/Yeshua is not. Jehovah’s Witnesses is another cult. There are many. Our redemption draws near indeed.
