Proverbs 15: King James Bible
Eyes of the Lord – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter fifteen, Verse 3
3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Eyes of the Lord
This simple verse, is where the rubber meets the road. Do you obey the Lord when others are looking, just to live and behave differently when others aren’t paying attention? Or just the opposite, behaving like a heathen with pals, or simply behaving differently around others, and saintly with the Lord when you’re alone?
We Christians know full well, that the Lord knows all and sees all, right? Then why is that truth so easily abandoned, when we find ourselves in different circumstances? If we don’t know, we should…
Sin is still sin, and it doesn’t matter if you do it by yourself, or in the company of others. Also, the Father doesn’t see it any differently, whether or not you sin by yourself or socially.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place. Just ask the Prophet Jonah. He found out the hard way, that there is nowhere you can run, nowhere you can hide, from the Almighty.
For the most part, the Father observes our actions or lack thereof. He’s with us when we’re at our best, giving him praise, or otherwise doing our utmost for his highest. On the other hand, he’s with us when we’re at our worst, or doing things that aren’t becoming to the Saints.
This is one of the reasons, that we can find all over the place through the scriptures, that the Lord is extremely interested in our heart. When someone attempts to change their ways, without a change of heart, it’s short lived. When someone’s heart has changed, eventually, so do the actions.
He gives us instruction about our heart condition, and also about our thoughts. Yes, he sees all, even our thoughts. All being taken into account, for when the time comes to be weighed in the balance.
This is an enormous reason, the Blood of the Lamb is so important. He is our only shot to the Father, and life everlasting. With all of the dirt and stains from our lives cleansed, We have been made to be the righteousness of Christ.
Without Christ Jesus, people will be forced to not merely give an account for every word uttered, every action, every thought. They will also have to pay the consequences for all of this as well. Without making the decision ahead of the time of their judgement, they are on trial with no defense, no favor, no remission, no hope.
The Lord is watching in all that we feel, think, say and do. Perhaps, this is an area where we’d benefit, should we do our due diligence, and remind ourselves of this several times daily.
