Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Find Good
Life can tend to be a whole lot less depressing when we’re finding good instead of finding what’s bad, right? It makes sense to me.
Above, the Lord is telling us what it takes to find good. To be more clear, what it takes to find what is good per the Word of God, or the Lord’s take on what good is.
This shouldn’t be confused with what we think is good, or what the world would consider good. The Father has taken great care to insure we have his Word, so that we may know what is truly good. These are the things that wisdom from above will work best with.
Also in the verse above, the Lord takes 9 words, to tell us where to find happiness. Happiness is to be found by trusting in the Lord. Sounds easy doesn’t it? Some things are easier said than done, and are always easy to read, than to live out.
This is another area, where it is crucial that we are trusting the Lord for the right things. I can tell you from first hand experience, you can trust in the Lord all you want for things that he’s against. But don’t expect him to change his structure or standard, because he will not ever do that.
Most of the people who don’t believe in prayer being answered, are typically people who often pray for all the wrong things. But I digress, before shooting off into a different topic.
We have been given the responsibility to feed off of the Word of God prayerfully, all the while seeking the Father’s wisdom, instruction, understanding, and knowledge. The whole package.
When we do that, we understand what the Lord favors, and what he doesn’t. It may take time and some deep study, but we eventually learn how he sees things, which answers a multitude of extremely difficult questions.
Eventually, when we learn how the Father tends to operate, we learn what he expects from us, and we can trust in him to remain steadfast when we stand on his Word. In this, we can always trust in the Lord to follow through with.
When we love him, and are praying to him and asking for things according to his purpose, he will respond, and also start doing things for you, around you, and with you, that you’d not expect. And as the scripture says, happy you’ll be!

2 Corinthians 3: King James Bible
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
1 Timothy 6: King James Bible
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
James 4: King James Bible
4 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Thank you for your attention to your promises, and for giving us insight into how you want things to be. Help us Father, with your wisdom and your understanding, through your Holy Ghost, to do things wisely according to your Word, and guise us, as we trust you in all things that will be good, and cause for us to become happy in you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray.
Ever notice how much easier it is to find misery rather than to find good?
