One God - One Truth

One God – One Truth

There is only one God, one truth, one Gospel, and one way to God the Father. He isn’t interested in a debate and doesn’t have to be. He has one Son that he gave to bear the punishment for every sin that you and I have ever committed, and will ever commit. Through His Son whose name is Jesus, he has re-established a connection with man that most people will not accept. It’s actually popular to deny the truth and blindly accept man’s ideas, also calling it truth.

Know Your Bible!

I don’t know how many times I have to say it to people… Know your Bible! As the song goes, ‘the road to hell is littered with nice guys with good intentions’.

Being nice, going to church every Sunday, giving all you have to the poor, and so on, will never get you into heaven. In fact there’s nothing on this earth that you can do to earn a seat in Heaven. Not one at all, and it was deliberately designed that way so man can’t boast. Anyone who says otherwise has not the truth and is dishing out lies.

God made the sacrifice:

John 3:16 King James Bible

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

That’s the way God himself established it. The One way. Jesus even referred himself as such in John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Falling for Satan’s Plan

However, Countless millions (even other Christians) have either neglected to realize, completely denied, or just flat satansplan-one-god--one-truthout don’t believe that there is truly an enemy out there whose sole purpose is to tarnish any aspect of God’s creation. Especially His creation that has been made in His own image. We call that enemy of the Lord Satan, and his name was once Lucifer.

Satan has been deceiving people for years. From a complete denial of God’s existence, setting up a network of Principalities across the globe to be worshiped as gods to detract from the one true God, to somehow convincing people that Lucifer is a misunderstood good guy who was punished for trying to help man out in the garden. He’s a liar since the beginning. And since the beginning, man’s been duped over and over.

Every time we step away from God’s plan, we fall right into Satan’s. Coming up with other doctrines, practices, religions, activities, etc.. All with one goal to lead us away from the truth, and that truth will set us free from the bondage we’ve fallen into since the fall.

Twisting the Gospel

The Apostle Paul had dealt with the Galatians concerning the truth being twisted (which is the definition of wicked)  not long after he had established the gospel and moved on to other cities. He has this to say in Galatians 1:8-9:

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Don’t fall for a cursed doctrine. If it differs in any way from that which is in the New Testament, it’s cursed and those preaching it are also accursed. God isn’t some abstract thing up in the sky that is content with being out of sight, out of mind. He is the Creator of the universe, The Lord of all.

God is Available

in-the-beginning-one-god--one-truthIf you don’t know about your position in the eyes of the Lord, you can indeed remedy that. He’s there waiting for you to call upon him. His name is Jesus, and he’s died for you and took any punishment for anything you’ve ever done. If you’d like to really know Him, please continue to Revelation of Salvation. This is a simple prayer to lead you to ask Jesus into your heart and create in you a new spirit. Please do it. Life lasts a lifetime but eternity is forever. Know who you are going to spend it with.

Thank you for reading One God One Truth!

  1. I think I am at the point in my life where I have grown up in the things of the Lord, discovered who I am in Christ, let go of the old habits and sins that used to hold me back and now I want to bear fruit.

By that I mean I want to become a spiritual father to others and help disciple them so that they too can make disciples. This is the only way more people will find out the one truth that can set people free.

Do you know of any resources that can help me learn how to reach people and teach them?

It’s obvious through this site that you want to make a lasting difference in people’s lives and I do to – I want to bear much fruit and populate heaven as much as possible!

With 6.5 billion people on the planet, some of which have never heard the gospel explained to them, we need to learn how to get this message out in a way that will connect with people.

Bless you for the great work you do.
    Simon

    • Hi Simon,

Bless your heart for wanting to play a part in Heavenly population building!

The best suggestion that I have, is something that I’m sure you’re doing anyways. That suggestion would be to pray, pray, and pray some more! Petition the Father for clear and concise instruction, and to keep your eyes open to it.

Secondly, I would suggest that you be ready in season, and out of season. Be always ready for the Holy Ghost to create divine appointments, be it online or otherwise. Once you’ve found the groove that the Lord has created for you, use that as a foundation to keep building upon.

For me, it’s this website. But the Lord may have an entirely different idea of what he’d like for you to do. Perhaps even something far different than you think! Never forget, when you’re dealing and working with the Creator of the universe, you may find that he is extremely creative as it relates to our walk with him and his will for our lives.

Thank you so much for the comment, and may the Lord bless you mightily in Jesus name!

      In Christ,

      Brian

  2. I like what you are doing here. Naturally, there will be some to come and read and try and dispute your words… that is only natural. I believe most people have good intentions, but good intentions don’t get you to salvation and that is the end of the rainbow. The simplest prayer I have ever said was “help me”, and you know what? It was the most effective prayer I could of ever said. My whole world changed right after that. Keep up the good work and don’t get sidetracked. We need the words of the Bible more now than ever.

    • Amen and thank you Lb! I’ve heard it said that the fastest prayer ever prayed is just simply,”JESUS!!!” Yeah I get some nasty stuff every once and awhile, but funny enough, the majority has been from other Christians (so far). But thankfully overall the response to these pages have been very positive, encouraging me to keep my spiritual ears open for the next message!

God bless you and thank you for the comment!

  3. I am a follower of Christ also. As time passes I wondered about the Satan. Is it a demon or entity? My belief is that Satan is our heart as God is in our heart. The choice we make is the cause of which is good or evil. Remember Cain choose to kill is brother Abel? I believe that action, the negative thoughts was Satan. He’s pride and desire to be bless by God. What do you think about? I debate and change my opinion often. I just think it all lies in the human ego.

    • Hiya Sam, Firstly Satan is the fallen Lucifer. As he was an angel once upon a time (the Cherub that Covereth) found in Ezekiel 28:13-15

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

So now he’d be considered a fallen angel. However, I see a huge difference in behavior and abilities between demons and fallen angels. Personally I lean toward believing the account in Enoch, that demons are the soul/spirit of the Nephilim, and the Nephilim are the offspring of angels that turned from their estate as said in Jude, and took human wives producing an angel/human breaded species. See Genesis 6 for the short version of this intrusion on humanity. The Book of Enoch is an extra-biblical text that tells the story with much more detail, and eventually goes into how demons came to be. I’ve always advised not to even bother with the book of Enoch without first having a strong understanding of the Bible as a whole.

In the end, none of this impacts our relationship with the Father, but it’s good to know your enemy at the same time. It does seem that the more time goes on, the Genesis 6 scenario becomes more and more proven. I suppose that’s my opinion.

Also Sam, God gave Cain a heads up right after he became angry about his sacrifice not being accepted. Check out Genesis 4:7. An interesting little verse that’s worth digging into.

Thanks for your comment! God bless you!

  4. I have admit I am growing jaded toward Christianity as a whole. I lived my life attempting to stay on the narrow road. I find myself being pushed to seek God with the help of his word on my own. The potential for peoples opinions is to great for me to trust anything other than the straight up bible. Just my thoughts.

    • Hi Vic,
      Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
It’s more important to know what God is saying so you may be able to discern whether or not what anyone else is saying to be true or not. It is way more important to know your Bible and study it for yourself prayerfully, asking the Father to guide you through his Holy Spirit into all truth (John 16:13). With anything I am trying to do with this site, first and foremost I’d desire to lead the lost to Christ. But for believers I’d want it to point right back to the Word of God. For people to get their eyes on it and develop their relationship with Christ.

I’d rather nobody take anything I ever say here at face value, which is why I post so much scripture with most of what I say. But How would anyone know whether or not I have taken something out of context if they take my word for it without searching things out for themselves?

I’ll conclude this response to your comment with this. Don’t ever do anything for Christianity’s sake. If you do anything, do it unto the Lord for Christ’s sake. There’s a difference. Take man right out of the equation. Man is flawed and will be a constant downer to your faith. Do all things for Christ and in Christ.Treat others in the Christian arena as Jesus would instruct us to.Respond to them also as he would instruct s to.
Sorry for the big response! lol. Hope this helped somehow. Thanks for your comment!

  5. Hi Brian,
I had a read of some of your posts and agree that the Bible is definitely the only true message from God to us. We need to know our Bible. 2 Tim 3:16 says that all Scripture is inspired of God.
As a Christian, I am concerned about the prayer you have written out for people to say. Jesus gave us clear directions about prayers in the Sermon on the Mountain – Matthew 5-7. He made it clear that we should not be repeating the same prayer over and over again “just as the hypocrites do”, to quote him in Matthew 6.
The model prayer, or Lord’s Prayer makes it clear that our prayers must be directed to the Father, not Jesus, and that The Father’s interests come first before our own. – Matt 6:9-13.
Your motives in encouraging prayers is noble and good. But we need to teach about prayers accurately and according to Scripture. As you quoted, we come to the Father, through Jesus Christ, not just to Jesus Christ. His sacrificial death is our link so that we can, as sinners, be reconciled to God the Father.
I am glad you have a passion for the Bible. I wish more people did.
    Regards,
    Duncan

    • Hi there Duncan, thank you for your comment and I’ve considered your critique concerning the prayer for salvation and have made some significant changes. Even so, Jesus did say in John chapter 14: 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

But there again later he says in John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

So Jesus covered both angles here I believe.

But I do disagree with what you said about Matthew 5:7. Being lead through the prayer of salvation is much different than repeating a prayer several times in a row memorized verbatim, thinking that it’s building points with God. The prayer of Salvation is a one off prayer of submission and reception, among other things. And keep in mind that if someone feels the need to be saved, chances are they’ve never prayed before in a meaningful way and may need a helping hand.

However I did take what you said seriously and added to the page that is is a guide to go by.

Thank you for your comment Duncan! God bless you.
