Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Reward of the Wicked
Many people can’t understand how the Father allows the wicked to get away with all of the things that they do against the Lord and against those who love him. The truth is, they get away with absolutely nothing. They in one way or the other, will get their just deserves.
In the text above, the Father shows us precisely how they do not get away with anything at all. In fact, their own iniquities become their own undoing. The problem we humans have, is that when we feel that justice needs to be dished out, oftentimes, we want tangible or visible results. Right?
This isn’t often the case as it relates to the consequences of one’s iniquities. We can’t always see what people have gotten themselves into, and the more wicked someone may be, the better they might be able to mask the results of being holden (to bear, sustain, or support) to the cords of their sins.
Those cords are attached to sin on one end, and on the other is their own iniquities. With that understanding, it’s easy to paint a picture in our minds as to what the Lord is trying to show us here.
There is a piece of scripture that we will be tackling in the future, that details how the fears of the wicked will come upon them. Think about that for a moment… That’s a terrifying promise to the wicked from the Lord.
So when it seems that the reward of the wicked is prosperity, and all kinds of freedoms that lawlessness or money can bring are lavishing their lives, bear in mind that nothing is ever as they appear. These people are in pain in ways that they will not ever admit, nor do they understand or have words for.
The spiritually dead don’t know what life even is, let alone how to live it without self destruction. They need Jesus every bit as we once did, and still do. Without the saving grace of the Lord, and his willingness to save us from hell, death and the grave, how much different would we be right now?

Romans 6: King James Bible
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The reward of the wicked is made clear in our eyes through the scriptures above. Right now Lord, we pray that you take them into account, look ahead, and quicken the salvation of all the wicked that you’ve foreknow, will call upon your name to be saved. Have mercy on them Father, as they haven’t got a clue about what they’re doing, and who it is that they’re really against. Cause for them to know you we pray, in the faithful and mighty name of the Lord Jesus we pray.
