Spirit of Truth – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter eight, Verses 6-7

Daily Inspiration from These Verses – Spirit of Truth
Again he says,”Hear!” He’ll speak when we decide to hear. Before the availability of the Word of God via our Bibles, The people would gather in the temple and “hear” the Word of God at the time. Today, we’ve got no excuse to not know what the Word of God says, and is.
When the Holy Ghost speaks, the result is:
- What’s right
- The truth
It’s reasonable to assume from these, that what we won’t find coming from the mouth of the Holy Ghost, is:
- Fault or flaw
- What’s wrong
The Father is just in every way. His Holy Spirit is the literal Spirit of the Lord. There’s no daylight between the two when we’re talking about what’s right, true, just, and excellence.
What gets my attention, is where he says,”From my mouth shall speak truth;” because of what Jesus had to say about the Holy Ghost in John 16. Jesus tells us that the Holy Ghost won’t speak to us of himself, but whatever he hears, that’s what he’ll speak.
Jesus even calls him the “Spirit of Truth.” And I believe that it would serve us well to take a close look into that. Doesn’t Jesus say,”I am the way, the truth, and the life?”
A study into the Whole Armor of God goes real deep into how Christ Jesus and Truth relate to each other scripturally when we take a close examination into the Belt of Truth. Truth is something that goes far deeper then the absence of a lie. And speaking right things, doesn’t guarantee to be something that we would necessarily agree with.
And that’s the beauty of the Holy Ghost speaking right things. When we’ve got a problem with what the Bible has to say, we must rest assured, that the Holy Ghost is right, and we’re wrong.
I’d advise, that whenever we come to a place in the Word of God, that we either disagree with it, or find it (almost literally) speaking against us, just put the breaks on. Chances are, you’ve found a place that the Lord wants to work with you on.
We’re the flawed ones. We’re the ones with the problem of seeing things through a glass darkly. When we find ourselves crosswise of the Word of God, we’re the ones at fault. We’re the ones that should seek to conform to the Father’s instruction, not the other way around.

All truth has originated with you. You created it, and your truth is under attack throughout this wicked world. Please speak to us, your Ambassadors of Christ, to hear all that you’d have the Holy Ghost speak to us. Let your words never fall on deaf ears, as you speak, teach, and instruct us, in what’s true and right. In the name of Christ Jesus the Lord we pray.
