We can read about Spiritual Warfare all day long, but if we don’t do what the Bible says to do with it, what difference does it make?
This page is an introduction to the reasoning behind playing an active role in the spiritual war that has been at play for the better part of 6,000 years, and try to give us a better understanding concerning the weapons of our warfare that the Holy Spirit speaks about throughout the Bible. The Lord has not left us defenseless by any means.
Think of any battle that’s ever happened throughout history. Let’s build a scenario and take a look at it. One side (we’ll call it side one) is well equipped and trained in whatever area of combat they were assigned. They’re ready for battle instantly when confronted with it, armed and ready, in position, ready to carry out plan A and has plan B waiting in the wings just in case.
The other side (this is side two) is unequipped, near naked, either unarmed or armed with weapons that they don’t know how to use, scrambled together with no strategic mindset or positioning. They can’t formulate a plan because most of the force isn’t paying attention to the General at all, and those that do pay attention wind up at odds with the rest who don’t. What weapons they’ve decided to hold on to has rusted, dulled, and dusted, and is not in any way ready for battle.
Prepared for Battle
Now… You tell me who’s ready to win the battle above. When the time comes to hit the battlefield and the two forces clash, the best equipped, best armed, the side who operates most fluidly like a well oiled machine, and the side who knows how to do what they’re told to do in the heat of battle, is going to come out of the battle as the victor.
There are two kingdoms at play in this battle I’m talking about. One is the Kingdom of Darkness, the other is the Kingdom of God’s dear Son. Which of the two sides that are detailed above do you think the Body of Christ falls into? I can tell you right off the bat it’s side two.
How is the force with Christ as the General so sloppy? Easy, it’s called apathy, disobedience, deception, religion, false doctrine, and being willingly ignorant to the supernatural truth in Christ that is a total 24 hour a day lifestyle. Also by being ignorant to the supernatural truth which abides within the Word of God, and most damaging is the desire to be best buddies with the enemy while in the heat of battle.
John 15:20 King James Bible
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
James 4:4 King James Bible
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Please note, none of the above listed problems with the participants of the Kingdom of God’s dear Son have anything to do with the General (which is Christ), the problem is on us, not him.
The head isn’t the problem when the body is paralyzed from the neck down.
I often wonder what percentage of the Body of Christ is even aware of the spiritual warfare that is constantly being waged around us, for us and against us, all the time? Even more scary, I wonder what the percentage of those who are aware of the spiritual war around us, actually take either proactive or preventative spiritual measures via God’s Word to do their part against the enemies of God?
So for starters, I thought it would be most prudent to go through what the Word of God has to say about our part of spiritual warfare, beginning with something specific we are told to do. That would be to arm and prepare yourselves for battle by putting on the whole armor of God. It’s easy to just think Jesus is going to be there to do everything for you, because as a babe in Christ, that’s what he’ll do for you. But babes should grow into children, and eventually learn to wipe their own nose, tie their own shoes, put on their own clothes, etc..
1 Corinthians 3: King James Bible
3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Hebrews 5: King James Bible
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Ready for Spiritual Warfare in Season and Out of Season
This whole part of the Bible Study section of the Supernatural Truth in Christ site is focused on helping you recognize the importance of knowing what the Lord has made available to us his Body, and what he’s put on us as growing children to learn concerning our place against the evil one and his entire kingdom. If you’d like to get into a deep study, over the origin of Satan’s Kingdom and how we can spot it in operation from a mile away, head over and get yourself a copy of “Kingdom of Darkness in a Fallen World.”
After reading that book, you’ll have a much better understanding of what we’re facing as ambassadors for Christ, and will be able to weed these fallen demonic forces out of your lives and to help weed them out of the lives of others.
Knowing the things that have transpired in the past, will equip us with the understanding of what’s happening now, and is gearing to happen in our near future. Truly as King Solomon put it,”There’s nothing new under the sun.”

Be Ready in Spirit with Truth
We are suppose to be ready in season and out of season. Well what does that mean?
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
The focus and context of the verse above is maintaining a strong command of the Word of God, having a strong sound Biblical doctrine well established in your heart, living as Christlike as you can indoor or outdoors, in private or in public. A well trained soldier can respond instantly to a circumstance that they’ve been training for without hesitation, hemming, and hawing. They just act.
In the life of a Christian that is well equipped with the Sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God), can quickly recognize a situation that requires to either do something that the scriptures would recommend to do, or speak a scripture by faith and by the unction of the Holy Ghost, in order to get something done for whatever the purpose. That would be instant in season.
Being instant out of season is necessary to avoid getting out of spiritual shape, and becoming less responsive to the Holy Spirit. People don’t do target practice because they’re getting shot at, but to be ready to respond in kind if one day they are called to fire their weapon. A strong command and Holy Ghost lead understanding and insight of the Word is necessary for many things that we face in life, but is crucial in order to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
Spiritual Attack Takes Many Forms
While you browse through and glean from the different pages that are included under this Spiritual Warfare section, you may find different areas that you’re already familiar with. But I’m confident, that as you read on, and take in much of the information concerning the weapons of our warfare; the multi-level spiritual attacks, where they come from, and how all this affects us in our daily lives, you’ll walk away better equipped to stand against the enemy, and to see the enemy in areas where you may not have in the past.
To conclude this introductory page into the Spiritual Warfare section of the site, I thought it would be nice to fill you in on what’s in store for upcoming pages that will be released every few days or so (however the Lord leads). First I’ll tackle and expand on the Whole Armor of God. To me, that seems like a great first step, and I feel that the Lord has placed it on my heart to cover that crucial topic that we will find in Ephesians chapter 6.
There will be several verses that we’ll find concerning what the Word of God says about our end of the deal, what he would have us do and what we shouldn’t have anything to do with. We’ll peel those apart and really dig into the meat of the Word in order to get us best equipped and spiritually dangerous. And the only way to be spiritually dangerous by any means is to have more of Christ in you for the enemy to be afraid of.
Down the road, I’ll wind up having a section dedicated to spiritual warfare prayers and supplications. But the reason I don’t yet have a subsection up and available concerning that at this time, is because I’m waiting to add many different pages to better equip Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, so that if they begin to contend against Satan and his armies, they are not like the weak and ill equipped army depicted toward the beginning of this page.
That not withstanding, I do believe that a subsection of spiritual warfare prayers and supplications will be included here, perhaps at some point in 2017.
But for now, I would like to invite you to move forward from from this Spiritual Warfare Introduction page on to the Whole Armor of God page through the link below. That study is complete and I firmly believe that there is a thing or two that you can learn from this in-depth look into exactly what the Whole Armor of God is, how we are intended to use it, when, and why. I’m confident you’ll enjoy the study and will be blessed by it!

So subscribe to the feed, bookmark, share, and do whatever it is that you do to make it back for the next up and coming addition to this section! Thanks for checking it out and I pray that this series concerning Spiritual Warfare helps you out in some way!
This page has been up for quite awhile now, and I was wondering… Is there any topic that you believe is missing from this section of the Supernatural Truth in Christ website? Not the page, but the entire section.?
I post as the Lord leads, and do my utmost (so far as I know how to) to add to this site as the Father leads and guides me to do so. But he does from time to time use others to add to the materials to the site, and has placed it upon me to ask others for input. Nobody is meant to be a one man show.
So, if there is something that you might find missing from this section as it would relate to spiritual warfare, please let me know.
