A vision from God
I’m not one to get all kinds of dreams, visions, or words of knowledge (at least not outside of the Bible), but I did get one giant dose of supernatural truth directly from the Lord himself one evening. I have more recently received one very important word of knowledge that bugs me to this day, and should bug anyone who believes in Christ Jesus, and can be found in the About Me drop down menu. That is a biggie, but I have had one experience of a vision that was from the Lord a whole lot of years ago that flat out changed my outlook on things that should otherwise cause for me to tear the hair out of my head.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’ve only had these kind of experiences a handful of times throughout my walk with Christ Jesus, and am not one to call everything a vision, or every dream prophecy, or that kind of thing. Most of what I talk about is the Word of God, and the revelations that the Holy Spirit has given me concerning it for whatever the reason. If you have been following this site as it’s progressed, you’ll know that this is a bit out of character.
Panic and Anxiety Attacks
Have I ever experienced either panic or anxiety attacks? Yep, check those off of the list of things to do. There was a 
period in my life several years ago that I was facing many different challenges, that at the time, was really wearing heavily on me. My prayers eventually started turning into nightly (also momentary) complaint sessions, as things around me were becoming much worse. The stress was taking its toll physically, giving me heart palpitations, panic attacks, and setting my nerves into a frenzy.
I think I’ll take the liberty here to coin a phrase “Panic Prayers”. Thinking back, so many times God ever heard from me in those days that’s all he ever heard. Panic prayers. I’d say that the best indicator to whether or not you’re partaking in panic prayers, is if you feel better or worse when you’re done.
On to the Vision!
One day after a good stretch of time dealing with a bunch of these problems, I was in prayer rifling through the usual list of complaints and grievances. I was given a vision that changed my perspective in all situations. I was wide awake when the following happened…
I was taken up through the house, being lifted face down so I could see the house getting smaller & smaller. Then the landscape smaller & smaller & picking up speed, I could see the country, as I’m now racing straight up. As if I was being zoomed right out of the planet, I saw the whole earth as it got smaller & smaller till eventually it became a small blue dot among the stars in space. I mean, I was really moving, it only took about 2 seconds to get to the point of just seeing the little dot of the earth.
As I was staring at the earth, squinting to try to see it as it was so far away, I heard a booming voice from behind me that shocked me when he said, “How big do your problems look now?” Right after I heard the voice I was spun around to see what was behind me, and from the left all the way to the right of my field of vision, I saw a massive city skyline. To this day I believe it was a glimpse into heaven. What else could it have been?
Just as soon as I realized what I was looking at, I snapped back into myself (or came too) & felt like a complete nut for the way I was anguishing over the things I was going through. The Lord that moment completely changed the way I look at life’s troubles that, for seasons, like to barrel through unexpectedly. All the problems were dealt with in one way or another, but notice that the Lord didn’t erase the things that needed to be faced, but instead changed me, not the circumstances.
Since then, I’ve faced (and still face) things that I never would have dreamed in a million years that I’d even need to worry about, never mind see through. But that vision that the Lord gave me has never left, neither has his voice. And I’ve been taking it as all joy to learn to abound & abase being thankful in all things, praying constantly (Philippians 4:12 & 1Thessalonians 5:16-18). Trusting in Him and knowing that the Lord is faithful to be an ever-present help through any trial or trouble. All glory & thanks to the Lord Jesus!!! Amen

Wow thanks for sharing, it’s a great reminder.
Reading this post made me think of Psalm 121:1 “I life my eyes to hills, where does my help come from?”
If you focus on the hills (the problems) they seem bigger, but when you change your perspective, your fcus on where your help comes from (God the Maker of heaven and earth) suddenly that mountain doesn’t seem so big anymore.
Just thank God that whatever we go through, our God is bigger.

Amen I agree! I am blessed that you enjoyed this post and that it was a blessing to you! Because it sure did bless me when it happened. I am thoroughly convinced that this world is set up to enlarge problems in our eyes, and decrease our perception of just how big of a God we serve. There is no issue, problem, or enemy, that is bigger than the Lord God Almighty. Sometimes times get tough enough that the Lord needs to intervene to bring you back into remembrance of his might.

Wow another wonderful powerful message. You really have great desire for the love of God. I pray that in Jesus name God give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him so you can know Him better and God give you a deeper revelation and use you for His glory and you will be the vessel to get millions of souls to salvation.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven’t had any visions, waking visions at least. I have had many incredible dreams though, and one of the was just like you vision! (minus God’s voice and a glimpse of heaven) In my dream I was also whisked away while facing earth, and I also watched as it diminished to nothing more than a pin prick. Thanks again!
Wow, that’s pretty neat! Was there any rhyme or reason for it? In other words, did it help you to understand anything or help you out in some other way? Or was it just kind of out of nowhere? God does everything for a reason, and I think it’s awesome that we shared nearly the same thing. There’s more than one way to peel a bananna. What God did with me via a waking vision, he can do with you in a dream, and someone else in a Word! God is an awesome God.

I am not one to get visions and dreams either but understand that God is able to use anything as a means to shaken us up and making us see things a certain way. I love your site, and I am doing a faith based site as well and truly believe we live in a world where we must be able to defend our beliefs in light of all the questions that are being asked by the youth and by non believers. We need to always be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in us! (1 Peter 3:15). Thanks for sharing your experience!

Amen and thank you for your kind words and encouragement! I agree with what you’ve said, God uses whatever he knows works best with us. Like I mentioned in the post, I’m not one to really have this kind of experience. In over 30 years of believing in Christ, this is the only time I’ve experienced something like this. I have had a ton of different things happen, which actually, I have a post waiting in the wings that detail some of these. I get pictures more lately. Thanks a lot for sharing your vision/experience with us. Indeed like Roopesh said, this message is encouraging to me, too. Sometimes we become too engrossed in our complaints to God and we forget all His promises to sustain us and to never let the righteous/justified be afflicted forever.
I support your account of how long it takes to reach outer space in a vision. For satellites it is years and with complicated astronautic engineering; in a vision it is fractions of seconds with no rocket needed. Our God is King of all the Universe!

Thank you for that! Time and space means nothing to a God Almighty that is outside of it! If you ever want to try and tackle something that is impossible for us to imagine, try figuring out what that would be like. lol. We just aren’t capable to even imagine it. So when God does something with us, that is outside of our human box of do-able experiences, it blows us away! lol.

Wow! An absolutely gripping read.It honestly feels like I was reading a piece from a novel.What makes your article all the more profound,is the fact that it actually happened to you.It made me feel two things.
The first thing is I am glad that this vision,by changing you and giving you a different perspective, you are able to change certain things in your life.
Secondly, we all go through hardships and need hope.I am going through a tough time with my health and this article is truly God-sent via you.I smiled and said to myself, He is there for us and never left us.
