The End Game

Daily Inspiration from Proverbs 14 P.173 – The End Game

Proverbs 14: King James Bible

The End Game – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter fourteen, Verse 19

19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

Daily Inspiration from These Verses – The End Game

The verse above is a description of the end game. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess, that Jesus is Lord. It’s a done deal, and is only a matter of time till this takes complete and total fruition.

You may notice that when we take this verse from a fleshly perspective (from the womb till death), it doesn’t seem to ring true, does it? As we’ve found so often, this is a spiritually discerned verse. Not only that, but is also prophetic.

This verse isn’t simply dictating the fate of the good guy vs. the bad guy, but is a contrast between the saved and unsaved. Also as we’ve covered in previous devotionals, the wise vs. the foolish.

The second half of the verse above, causes a parable that Jesus recited about the wise and foolish virgins, who were awaiting the bridegroom. In the end, the five wise virgins gained entrance into the marriage, but the five foolish were stopped. The door was shut, and to them he said, “I know you not.” (See full parable below)

The wicked at the gates of the righteous. Not in the house, or even on the property. But at the gates. When the gates are closed, all bets are off, and there’s no getting in. Yet another reason why I believe this to be a prophetic verse.

Right now, we have access to the Lord through Christ Jesus. Jesus said,” I am the door.” He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. None can come unto the Father but by him. We have that opportunity, and those who haven’t made use of that opportunity, has every chance in the world to do so, while they still draw breath.

But after that, and you haven’t called upon the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation, receiving the free gift that costs you nothing, but cost the Father his Son, then the door will be shut. The only time you’ll be seeing the Father, will be for a brief moment between being yanked out of hell, then to judgement, then on to the second death, which is the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

You don’t need that on your eternal bucket list. Right now, the door is open. The Lamb of God is sitting on the Father’s throne, accepting all comers that seek him for salvation. If you’ve not done so already, and if you’ve got any question concerning what your eternal whereabouts will be, I strongly suggest giving your life to Christ Jesus.

Matthew 25 King James Bible

25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Prayer

Father,

Thank you as always for all that you’ve done and will do, so that your Kingdom will be magnified, and so that you will be magnified. Thank you for your Word, and for giving us access to the knowledge of the Kingdom of Heaven. Thank you for receiving us unto yourself, and not allowing anyone from plucking us out of your hand. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray.

Amen

Have you picked what side you’ll be on, when this world reaches the end game?
