Daily Inspiration from These Verses – The Just Man

This verse demonstrates why we need to get close to the Father, and to be obedient to his Word. By the time you’re done reading this, you’ll understand why I opened with that statement.

Why are the children of a just man who walks in his integrity blessed after him? Well, there are several different reasons that one may lean toward.

A just man walking in integrity may have lived wisely enough to have left his children an inheritance. Or, perhaps because of his integrity his children have had a proper launch into the world, equipped to deal with it’s ways. I’m sure we can continue in all of the different ways a child can be blessed by a father who is upright.

However, let’s not forget who’s book this is, and who the main focus of the entire Bible is. That would be the Father. More specifically, our Heavenly Father. With that basic understanding, we need to go deeper than material or fleshly blessings or benefits, a child may enjoy by having an upright and just father.

Instead, I would suggest that we explore the possibility, that the example of the integrity on display by the just father throughout the child’s life, may greatly influence that child. If a child grows up in reverence of their father, knowing that he is just, and how he became just, chances are that child will grow to walk in those same steps.

Here’s where we need to personalize this for all of us, not just the parents that have time to be just for their children. Instead of only coming to that end, let’s put ourselves in our rightful place as the child from here forward, who’s father is the ultimate just Father and who wrote the book on integrity.

Through the Word of God, we not only learn the fact that he is just, we also learn how he is just. In other words, we get a good feel for how he thinks about different things, by what he has to say about them from Genesis to Maps.

He teaches is through instruction, examples, and parables, how and why to be just, and to be better able to walk out our own walk in integrity. I’m sure we all know by now, that the world at large will teach us much faster, how not to be those things.

Instead, the example of the world is to get away with whatever you can, right and wrong are only a matter of perspective, we all started out from ooze leaking from a rock anyways, so there is no higher power to dictate what being just even is. Yup, that’ll be the plate that the world will serve.

But we have an example given to us by the Lord himself. Christ Jesus is the ultimate example of how to walk with the Lord in the Holy Ghost, how to use the wisdom of the Father, how to be just, and how to walk in integrity. All of it and more can be observed by the Lord.

And there is one thing that he made perfectly clear. His words are important and they are life, the words of his Father are important, and they are life. Being born again children of the Most High God, it would serve us well if we learned to serve him well, and to know him even better than we’ve ever known him before. Truly, his children are blessed after him.

Thank you for your Word and everything involved with it. Teach us all Lord, to be more like Jesus, in whatever way you will. If we are lacking in one area, please bring it to our attention, and cause for us to be just and to walk uprightly, as you are just. Help us to walk in integrity, as you walked in integrity despite all obstacles. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we pray.

Did you ever notice that the world always seems to pollute the image of the just man?
