The Seed War Part 2

The Seed War Part 2The Seed War Part 2 will continue on where we left off in part one. Makes sense right? In that post, we covered the beginning of the seed war, Satan’s dilemmas because of God’s declaration, the sons of God that lusted after the woman of men, and their offspring. In the end, we learned that demons originated not just as consequences for the nephilim’s actions, but also as a judgement against the Watchers and their offspring.

If you have come directly to this post without having first read The Seed War Part 1, all of that might seem really kind of crazy.  I highly suggest you head back and check it out in order to get up to speed for this one. We covered allot in that post, and we’ll be covering quite a bit in this one too!

A Deal With the DevilDeal with the Devil

We’ve already gone over who was in charge of the World, which was Satan. In my opinion anyways, the Watchers must have had to do some dealing with the Devil in order to fulfill their intentions of dwelling on the earth. I come to that conclusion because of the end results. They wound up deciding to do all kinds of things to add to their charges that were not in their original agreement when they all made that pact together.

From the offset they just wanted wives, why would they go out of their way to make things worse on themselves in the eyes of God? I find it no coincidence that they wound up fulfilling much of what Satan would have had to do himself, to try and render ineffective the declaration made by God in Genesis 3. As we discovered in the last post, Satan had two problems. These Watchers were exactly what he needed to both taint the seed of the woman, and to begin to erase the numerical deficit against the Armies of Heaven. Now, he had a new force of spiritual beings we’ve come to know as demons, under his authority.

Enoch 8: And there arose much godlessness, and they (the Watchers or Angels) committed fornication, and they 3 were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways.

Another reason why I came to the conclusion that there were deals struck is that ‘lead astray’ part. Lead astray by who? Man? I doubt it. So the angels came with the original intention to take wives for themselves, and they did. But through time, as we can see in the verse above, they started to take a different path in their ways on earth.

They taught their offspring, the Nephilim or (Giants), along with men and women all kinds of things used for wickedness. Enoch recorded some of them and actually lists who taught it. Among those things that the Watchers introduced upon the earth were the following:

  • Azazel taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all 2 colouring tinctures.
  • Semjaza taught enchantments, and root-cuttings
  • Armaros the resolving of enchantments
  • Baraqijal (taught) astrology
  • Kokabel the constellations
  • Ezeqeel the knowledge of the clouds
  • Araqiel the signs of the earth
  • Shamsiel the signs of the sun
  • Sariel the course of the moon

It is clear that the first in the list was the worst offender when it came to the unrighteous teachings of the Watchers.

Enoch 9:

Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which 7 men were striving to learn:

With that verse, we can see that the problems didn’t rest only with introduction to the things that this particular Watcher took part in. The bigger issue was also the intent behind these things, what they were used for. It isn’t difficult to attach any form of iniquity behind anything in the list. We’ll come back to this verse before we’re done.

NoticeSidebar: Take notice to what’s not there!

What is missing from all these things that they taught? The answer would be any kind of idle worship or false god worship. We later see this emerge as a huge problem after the flood. Interesting that these should be missing. In fact, there’s only mention of Godlessness in the book of Enoch. The Bible is silent on it, and I would think that if the worship of other gods were an issue, it would have been mentioned. I can think of a good reason why there wasn’t any worshiping of false gods or idols. Because there weren’t any!

However, there’s no shortage of worshiping all kinds of gods after the flood. Pretty interesting. I have heard it proposed (and I agree) that the wide variety of gods that were worshiped after the flood, were generated by the demonic remains of the Nephilim that were before the flood. That actually fits well and makes perfect sense to me. We’ll get back to this topic after we’re done flooding the earth.

God’s Judgement: Azazel

In the book of Enoch, God has had about enough of all of this going on, and tells his angels to do a couple of things. First, to do away with Azazel, who was the most offensive of all the 200, and sentenced on him all the punishment that all 200 deserved for their deeds and what they brought upon the earth.

Enoch 10:

Bind Azazel hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening 5 in the desert, which is in Dudael, and cast him therein. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may 6,7 not see light. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. 8 And the whole earth has been corrupted 9 through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.

Another Biblical connection! You can’t look into the word ‘scapegoat’ without running into Azazel.

AZAZEL ( him with Darkness

a-za’-zel (`aza’zel apopompaios; the King James Version Scapegoat, the Revised Version, margin “removal”):

Here is the commandment given concerning the day of atonement, given to the Jews way back in the days of Moses. This is where we get the term scapegoat from, and it is directly in reference to God’s judgement on Azazel. Just as Azazel bore the punishment for all the other Watchers, so the scapegoat bears the burden of all the sins of Israel as seen below.

Leviticus 16:

8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:

22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

26 And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

I just thought that it would be interesting for those who did not know of this connection. It scarcely has anything to do with the topic at hand, but I found it valuable as a Biblical reflection of what we can find in Enoch. Jumping forward, it is also a reflection to Christ. Azazel bore all of the sins of the Watchers, the Scapegoat bore all the sin of Israel, and Christ Jesus bore all the sins of all mankind.

God’s Judgement: The Other Watchers and Offspring

Valleys of the EarthThat’s the background of the scapegoat and the clear connection to God’s Judgement against Azazel. No trial in the end for him. He is still there to this day, awaiting to go into the flames of the Lake of Fire. Now the others seem to have a bit of a different fate, that in the view of some, directly effect us today! Which we’ll cover after the flood, as I don’t want to get too distracted and stray off point. God continues judgement concerning all the rest of the Watchers and also their offspring.

Enoch 10:

Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from amongst men [and cause them to go forth]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in 10 battle: for length of days shall they not have. And no request that they (i.e. their fathers) make of thee shall be granted unto their fathers on their behalf; for they hope to live an eternal life, and 11 that each one of them will live five hundred years.

So Heavens angels were sent out to turn these giants against one another in the sight of their fathers the Watchers. We need to step outside the box a little to actually take in the state of the world back then. This isn’t just happening in a region. This was scattered across the entire world. The Watchers and Nephilim had several hundred years to scatter, reproduce, defile, and pollute, the entire planet. This went on before the flood that created the oceans, dividing the place as we know it as today. So they could go anywhere and were everywhere.

Reading about their power over man or the things that pertained to man, I can see a good reason for God to have the giants turn on one another. That would be to leave Noah alone long enough to build the ark. They are less inclined to take notice of that man of God over there with his help building a boat for whatever reason, when there’s a giant sized threat coming from any direction. Their priority became defense against themselves, or offense against their own. Noah was left to deal with men only, instead of both men and monster. Just my opinion.

Enoch 10:Bound hand and Foot

And the Lord said unto Michael: ‘Go, bind Semjaza and his associates who have united themselves with women so
as to have defiled themselves 12 with them in all their uncleanness. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is 13 for ever and ever is consummated. In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: and 14 to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever. And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all 15 generations. And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because 16 they have wronged mankind. Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end: and let the plant of righteousness and truth appear: and it shall prove a blessing; the works of righteousness and truth’ shall be planted in truth and joy for evermore.

So all the other Watchers, after witnessing the destruction of their children, are bound up in the valleys of the earth for seventy generations. Remember that number for later. To make this part clear, when the Lord said, “till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated”,  is referring to the end of both this world and Satan’s reign on earth, when all who are not saved by God’s grace will be judged and hurled into the Lake of Fire. From verses 13 down to 16.

If you take a good look at verse 12, you’ll see that it may appear kind of redundant. But it’s not. First it says,”till the day of their judgement and of their consummation”. Consummation is a fancy way of saying finalized or complete. I believe there is a space of time between the end of their immediate punishment, and their final sentence to the Lake of Fire. I say that because it goes on to say,”till the judgement that is 13 for ever and ever is consummated.” There’s a space of time there.

Another Sidebar: Where are they now?

Out of TimeRemember before when I mentioned that the fate of the 199 remaining Watchers would directly effect us today? Well, if we are to assume that 70 generations are a period of 70 years as it says in Psalms 90, then they’re on the loose right now, and have been for about 120 years or so.

So if they are on the loose upon the face of the planet right now, and have been for about 120 years or so, it’s very clear that they are being much more cautious then they were back before the flood. Now, instead of fallen angels taking wives, polluting the human genome, polluting animal DNA, and blending these around with each other, also blending them around with themselves, the aliens are doing it. Hmm. What a coincidence. And the seed war continues. This is definitely something that I will be covering in a future post, so I won’t swim any deeper about it than this.

Perfect in his Generations

In the book of Enoch, it says that God kept Noah hidden from all the wickedness going on across the face of the earth. Following the generations starting from Adam, right up to Noah, there are indicators that these men worshiped God, and didn’t fall into the “godless” category. That line was somehow kept separate from the workers of iniquity in those days.

By the time we start learning a little bit about Noah in Genesis 6, it says something very particular to Noah.

Genesis 6:

9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

This is the first and only time that the word perfect is used to describe anybody like this. Especially concerning their genes. Why would the Holy Spirit find it necessary to point that out? Because the Fallen ones were playing around with the genetics of mankind, along with the rest of creation, and had corrupted man’s seed. That was Satan’s plan all along, to remove the seed of the woman right out of the equation.

How can the redeemer come, if the seed of the woman itself is not a full on man? In other words, if God had not done away with everything in the flood, and preserved the human gene perfectly with Noah, no man would be around right now. If left alone, the world would have just become more and more corrupt like a living nightmare.

Satan knew that there could be no savior for mankind, if it weren’t coming from mankind. So his defeat seemed to be erased out of God’s equation to him at the time I would suppose. But there was still Noah, who was genetically perfect, and was on a mission to float out the flood with his family and any of the beasts of the earth that had not been corrupted.

FloodNow, doesn’t that seem like a better reason to destroy the planet and start from almost scratch? Keeping the reasoning behind the flood just simply that man was sinful and wicked just doesn’t do any of it any justice. This planet had some all out crazy things going on, and if it weren’t dealt with the way it was dealt with, kiss mankind goodbye, and say hello to a planet full of Nephilim, who would die and become a curse upon the earth. That would have been the end result.

So, God Almighty pulled the rug right out from underneath Satan with the flood. Back to square one. There was a family of men and woman who were not genetically defiled preserved on the Ark, and began to multiply and re-populate. Satan’s predicament was still a danger to him (as he found out when he met Jesus in the wilderness), but he at least had one leg up concerning his numbers problem. He now has at his disposal countless spirits of the Nephilim (demons), and we can see how they are going to be used for his purposes right through the entire Bible.

Get your hands on a Bible for yourself!

I found it necessary to take a bunch of liberties with this topic. It’s not easy for me to cram a ton of the information out there concerning this topic into a post and keep it flowing but short at the same time. I hope I succeeded in making sense out of what was going on back then. It’s important because many of the same things are happening today, just differently than they were before the flood. Yes there is cause for concern, but not to be fearful.

One day, I will continue with the seed wars, maybe a couple more posts (part 3 and 4 or whatever it takes), because it keeps on going and going, right through the Bible till you pass Revelation and then hit maps. But as far as the Are Demons Real series, we’re going to move on to other things I think. All is subject to change as I’m committed to post these as the Lord leads.

Thank you for checking out this 9th installment into the Are Demons Real series! I hope that you’ve been keeping up on all of these, because there’s more coming! I hope that The Seed Wars Part 2 has blessed you in some way, God bless all of you!
