The Spirit of Life – Daily Devotion of Proverbs chapter eight, Verses 35-36
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favor of the Lord. 36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Verse 36, is another verse that confirms the Holy Ghost’s narration throughout the majority of this chapter. The incredible thing is, the clue that I’m going to reference, wasn’t available to anyone for hundreds of years after the days of Solomon.
There is something special about the Holy Ghost. There’s just something about him, that causes the Father and the Son to be extremely protective concerning him. Seemingly, more so than they would be toward each other.
I’ve included some scripture down below to back up what I’m trying to convey, but I really do think that out of the three, the Holy Ghost is most watched after, and the most protected (for lack of a better word), by both the Father and the Son.
The scripture I’ve included below, reminds me of something I know I’ve either said or heard several different times throughout my life time, and I’m sure you have as well. And that would be hearing someone say something along the lines of,”You can whatever you want about me, but if you say anything about my family, you’re going to have a problem…”
Well, Jesus said,”Whatever you say about me or the Father, it’ll be forgiven, but blaspheme the Holy Ghost, and you’re in for it!” There is a sin that is unforgivable, and that’s it. I believe that there is a super tender spot in the heart of the Father and also in Christ Jesus for the Holy Ghost, that seems to be, well, different, than perhaps there is for each other.
This is of course my opinion, and is what I’ve received from my studies into that particular area of scripture. Yours may differ, and that’s a-okay.
I’ve said all of that to drive the point home, that verse 36, has a finality to it. To sin against him, is to wrong your own soul. That’s not something that is typical toward the Father, or the Son, Christ Jesus the Lord.
All can be forgiven if we sin against the Father. All can be forgiven if we sin against the Son. But the Holy Ghost is a whole different matter. This is the final line in this chapter, that gives us a distinct piece of information to allow us to understand that this is the Holy Ghost talking to us personally.
Perhaps when we see wisdom spoken of throughout these chapters of the book of Proverbs, it would serve us well to remember, that wisdom from the Father is directly related to the Spirit of the Living God.

Luke 12: King James Bible

Acts 5: King James Bible
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
Thank you for every piece of information that you’ve provided, that causes for us to come closer to you, and to learn more about you. Keep a guard upon us Father, so that we should not stray from the wisdom available to us through your Word, and by your precious Spirit. This we pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.-
