Transhumanism is on the rise, and instead of me writing about a topic that I’m clearly not qualified to give any in-depth commentary on, I figured this time around we’ll take a look at some videos done by people who are qualified. I did bring it up briefly in the book Kingdom of Darkness in a Fallen World, but only as a reference to the spiritual nature behind this area of study. The fallen angelic / demonic contributions toward transhumanism.

When I say it’s on the rise, I’m not trying to suggest that this is anything new to this generation. However, the efforts of various groups of either evil or Biblically ignorant (willingly or unwillingly) people over the last 80 years or so have begun to reap fruit, as technology has caught up to provide an ultimate means to exercise this complex form of escapism.

There are several reasons that people defend the idea of transhumanism, none of which are Biblical. In other words, God’s not given any stamp of approval concerning these things, and the end game promise is an age old lie that removed mankind from the Garden of Eden and God’s perfect plan for humanity in the first place.

Genesis 3:

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

While checking out these videos below, keep that part of scripture in mind. “Ye shall not surely die” is right back on the front burner when you get right down to the meat of it.

SciFriday: Post-Humans, Robot Overlords, and Transreligion

 

Here’s a great video by SkyWatch TV’s YouTube channel, with hosts Derek and Sharon Gilbert discussing a few different layers of transhumanism. Here’s the description given for the video:

So Who Cares about Transhumanism?

All Christians should care! When it comes to tinkering with human and/or animal genetics to achieve an end that defies what the Lord has established, you’d better believe we should care. As far as I know there are four different cocktails going on out there concerning humans. Never-mind the different blending of animal species…

The four are:

1. Human/Technology – Cyborg type ideas
2. Human/Animal – Chimera type ideas
3. Human/Fallen Angel – Nephilim type ideas!!!!!!!
4. Human/Nephilim – More Nephilim type ideas!!!!!!!

And as mentioned above, mankind is in one way or another still trying to turn Satan’s lie into a reality. And that “new” reality will just become another piece into the whole scenario that Jesus had called to our attention about 2000 years ago.

Matthew 24:

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

If you don’t understand how the days of Noah were, please pick up a copy of Kingdom of Darkness in a Fallen World. It’s all presented in the book as simply as possible. These things are not something new, but is something in fact very old. There’s nothing new under the sun.
