What do I want for Christmas

What do I want for Christmas?

What do I want for Christmas? I’ll bet you thought it’s that yacht, didn’t you? Naw that’s crazy, but in the event you’ve got an extra one, please send to……

What do I really want? Well, it’s easy, you can afford it, and you don’t even need to wrap it! “What could it be?” I’m sure you’re wondering… Well, okay, you may not care, I’ll learn to cope with that therapeutically later… I’ve got something rather important to ask of you this Christmas holiday…

So What do I want for Christmas from you?

So here we are, another Holiday season…

Without getting involved here, about whether or not it’s right or wrong to celebrate Christmas, as it seems to be turning into something that reminds me of the pre/post/mid/none, trib rapture debate, there is something that we should all be able to agree on…

December 24th/25th was and is a pagan holiday from a long time before the birth of Christ. Therefore, whether we celebrate the holiday or not, we need to keep mindful of the works being done by the enemy because of that fact.

Prayers against the plans of the enemy

The same demonic forces that we Christians pray against on Halloween, are just as at play on other holidays, and Christmas is no exception. So if you’re sitting at the table ready to say grace, throw up some battle prayers to supplement your saying grace.

Pray Against Depression

And without a doubt, the spirit of depression runs rampant all over the world around Christmas time. Due to lost loved ones, financial difficulty, complex situations, or whatever the reason, depression works much harder on people this time of year, so stay mindful of that in your prayers as well.

Pray for the protection of the Saints

Saints around the world are being persecuted, even unto death. There’s no bad time to lift up our Brothers and Sisters in the Lord in all prayers and supplication. Christmas may be an important time to do so because of the spiritual activity involved against the Body of Christ. Funny people forget that there’s an enemy out there that is alive and well, even on Christmas. The whole Body needs to be uplifted and protected by the Father.

Prayers for Travel Mercies

Most people have somewhere to go this time of year, and I’m sure you’ve already witnessed some beauties behind the wheel, doing crazy things or just simply being dangerous on the road. The Kingdom of Darkness will not be shy to use any opportunity to ruin someone’s life, least of all yours. Be awake and alert spiritually as well as physically. People are driving drunk much more than you’d think…

However the Lord Leads

Ask the Father if there’s anything that he’s like for you to cover or bring up. Since when is that a bad idea? Then when you feel an unction by the Holy Ghost, just pray it out.

So please stay mindful of all of these things this Christmas, and actually the entire holiday season. Satan knows his time grows shorter every passing year, so let’s not be slack in our stand against him, nor grow sluggish in our prayers for the Saints, our families, and ourselves and lastly our stuff, as our stuff is often what’s used against us in one way or another.

So there you have it… Paint it red, wrap it in a bow, and call it a present!

    • Hi there David,
Thank you and God bless you in Jesus name. Nah, it’s not my place to condemn anyone. We’ve all got one judge, and his name doesn’t start with a “B.” lol
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you in here again!
      I appreciate it!

  1. God bless you Brother Brian, yes we worship our Lord and Savior every day, whether there was originally pagan garbage attached to a day or not, the LORD has made everyday and we will rejoice there in, praise the LORD! Merry Christmas! Peace

    • Hi there Andrew,
I couldn’t agree more! We’re not supposed to wait till every Sunday, or wait till the end of the year to be Christ minded. Having put on the mind of Christ, is it right to imagine it on once a week and Christian friendly holidays?
No way, we’re saved, and Jesus will continue to save us until we’re standing before the Father. So should we serve him in the same manner, however he would see fit for us to serve.

Thanks for your comment, & God bless you in the name of Jesus!
      Brian
